grāmya-vārtā nā śune, nā kahe jihvāya
kṛṣṇa-kathā-pūjādite aṣṭa-prahara yāya


SYNONYMS

grāmya-vārtā — common topics; śune — he never heard; — not; kahe — utters; jihvāya — with his tongue; kṛṣṇa-kathā — topics on Kṛṣṇa; pūjā-ādite — and in worshiping and so on; aṣṭa-prahara yāya — he passed the whole day and night.


TRANSLATION

Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa would neither hear nor speak about anything of the material world. He would simply discuss Kṛṣṇa and worship the Lord day and night.
