Hari-śauri: They had that one in the bedroom in New Vrindavan.

Prabhupāda: Hmm?

Prabhupāda: Kīrtanānanda has purchased.

Hari-śauri: Ya.

Surendra Kumar Saigal: I have washed my hands with nim soap.

Prabhupāda: That's all right.

Prabhupāda: And Philadelphia, what is that name?

Hari-śauri: Port Royal farm. Port Royal? That's the nearest place to it. Pennsylvania farm.

Prabhupāda: Ah. Is there any gain there? I have been in Pennsylvania farm. They get enough quantity milk. They sell fifteen hundred dollars per month. Jaya.

Surendra Kumar: Mahārāja, you wanted milk and apple.

Prabhupāda: Yes, that's all . . .

Surendra Kumar: What time you like, sir?

Prabhupāda: At nine.

Surendra Kumar: Nine. Are you feeling some relief?

Prabhupāda: Yes.

Surendra Kumar: You will get relief. From two, three applications, absolutely.

Prabhupāda: Very good.

Hari-śauri: What's the Hindi name of that drug that you were taking the other day? That plant?

Prabhupāda: Oh. Ghṛta-kumārī.

Hari-śauri: You can get some of that?

Surendra Kumar: Which one?

Hari-śauri: Ghṛta-kumārī.

Surendra Kumar: I have not heard.

Hari-śauri: Looks like a cactus. The English name is aloe vera.

Surendra Kumar: Which has got pulp? Yes. You want it? I have got it in my house. My wife takes them by making in the cāpāṭi or parāthā, because of her knees. It is wonderful for this pains in the knees. Yes.

Hari-śauri: We were told it was good for relieving high blood pressure.

Surendra Kumar: Yes.

Hari-śauri: And clearing the . . .

Surendra Kumar: Relieving high blood pressure, best is garlic.

Prabhupāda: Garlic.

Surendra Kumar: Garlic, you don't want it. (laughter)

Prabhupāda: Garlic, onions, prohibited.

Hari-śauri: But if you could get some of this ghṛta-kumārī . . .

Prabhupāda: It is there in his house.

Surendra Kumar: Yes, it is in my house, it is in my garden. So my wife will prepare for your breakfast small cāpāṭi. You will find it very tasty

Prabhupāda: Alright.

Surendra Kumar: And delicious. That's called Gwār ka parāthā. Hamāre yahān isako Gwār ka parāthā kahate hain (Our side we call it Gwār ka parāthā.)

Prabhupāda: Ācchā. That's nice

Surendra Kumar: Gwār ka. (I will show you.)

Prabhupāda: It is little bitter?

Indian man: No. It is, I mean, tasteless. And it is . . .

Prabhupāda: You know?

Gaursundara: Yes. We have in Hawaii. It's called aloe cactus. Aloe vera.

Surendra Kumar: It is kneaded in the flour and little ghee and the parāṭā will be . . . it is wonderful for your joints. And this arthritis, it is wonderful. I got it about a year back and put in my garden because my wife needed, and we were getting it from somebody else's garden. So I told my gardener, "Why don't you put it in our own? We have plenty of land."

Prabhupāda: It doesn't require to taken care of very much. It grows automatically.

Surendra Kumar: Its growth is very good. And plenty of it. If Your Divine Grace gets any benefit from it, then it can be planted in each temple on one side. No problem. And then on your visits, that place where you will use.

Prabhupāda: Then we can, in Vṛndāvana.

Surendra Kumar: I will show it to you.

Indian Man: Yes, yes. Vṛndāvana, we will put the plant in Vṛndāvana.

Surendra Kumar: And I will show you tomorrow.

Prabhupāda: No, he got from Vṛndāvana.

Surendra Kumar: Got from some Vṛndāvana?

Hari-śauri: Yes, but not from our temple. From an āśrama it's grown.

Surendra Kumar: Well, I will show you what you mean and I mean are the same things. And my wife will make herself for breakfast. It will be . . . he will like it.

Gaurasundara: Rub it. Do you apply it externally?

Hari-śauri: Well, this is the first I've ever heard of it.

Gaurasundara: Break a little. You can rub it on eczema or anything, very helpful.

Hari-śauri: I know it's very good for burns.

Gaurasundara: We use it on cuts and things. Yes, burns, very good. Any skin disease, you rub a little of it.

Hari-śauri: We can try that. That boy that came from Philippines, Tamopahā, he told us.

Gaurasundara: It's also Hawaiian medicine. Everyone knows it.

Prabhupāda: Body is simply troublesome. (end)
