mahāprabhura śrī-haste alpa nā āise
eka-eka pāte pañca-janāra bhakṣya pariveśe


SYNONYMS

mahāprabhura — of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; śrī-haste — in the transcendental hands; alpa — a small quantity; āise — did not come; eka-eka pāte — on each and every plate; pañca-janāra — of five men; bhakṣya — eatables; pariveśe — He administered.


TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was not accustomed to taking prasādam in small quantities. He therefore put on each plate what at least five men could eat.
