Suro matamahah kachchit swastaste batha marisah
Matulah sanujah kacchit kusalya anakadundubhih.


ENGLISH SYNONYMS

Suro—the name Surasena, Matamohoh—maternal grandfather, Swati—all good, Aste—passing days, Va—or, Atha—therefore, Marishah—respectful, Matulah—maternal uncles, Sanujah—along with younger brothers, Kacchit—whether, Kusalya—all well, Anakadundubhih—Vasudeva.


TRANSLATION

Is my respectful grand-father Surasena in a happy mood? And my maternal uncle Vasudeva along with his younger brothers are all doing well?
