Bombay,

April 27, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

My dear Jnanagamya Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. I beg to acknowledge receipt of a copy of a letter sent from your good self to the temple presidents and life membership directors around the society.

I showed the photographs of the busts of Srila Prabhupada done by Peter Hawkins, and His Divine Grace smiled very broadly, even as broadly as his smile is shown in those busts. He was very pleased with Mr. Hawkin’s work and said that Mr. Hawkins should be encouraged to do more such work. He is a very qualified artist and should be encouraged. Prabhupada very much approved of your Letter to: the presidents and commented: “This will introduce Indo-American cultural exchange. It is very good. And on the column of the bust they can list, “Author of:” and then all of the books may be listed.”

So now everything is approved in theory but you must demonstrate that it can practically be done. I am sure His Divine Grace will be eager to know how this program turns out. You are very intelligent and I am certain that Krishna will give you all direction how to make it successful. Hoping this meets you well.

Your servant,

Tamal Krishna Gosvami

Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
