Kavirāja: Aaj tatti hua tha keya? (Did he pass stool today?)

Bhakti-cāru: Hu. Subah hua. (Yes, in the morning.)

Kavirāja: Subah hua tha? (He passed stool in the morning?)

Bhakti-cāru: Hu. (Yes.)

Kavirāja: . . . (indistinct Hindi)

Bhakti-cāru: Ekso pachas. (Hundred and fifty.)

Kavirāja: . . . (indistinct Hindi)

Bhakti-cāru: (asked someone and he replied "Dark green") Dark green.

Kavirāja: O puria to aj dea deachi. (I have given him that medicine today.)

Bhakti-cāru: Achha. (Okay.)

Prabhupāda: Hmm?

Kavirāja: Puria to dea deachhi. (I have already given the medicine.)

Bhakti-cāru: He gave a medicine yesterday to control the stool, so we have to get it today.

Kavirāja: Pulse to ninety. (Pulse is ninety.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Ninety. That's not bad. But is it strong or weak?

Kavirāja: Now stronger.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Stronger.

Kavirāja: Stronger.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Stronger?

Kavirāja: Hu. (Yes.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Your pulse is stronger now, Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Prabhupāda: Hmm?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Shastrijī says that your pulse is normal rate and stronger. I think the kīrtana is having a good effect, Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Prabhupāda: Hmm.

(whisper in the background)

Kavirāja: Yeh bhi to mahousadhi hai, Kṛṣṇa nam. (This is also the greatest medicine, the name of Kṛṣṇa.)

Prabhupāda: Bhabousadhi. (The medicine for material existence.)

Kavirāja: Haaa. Na, yeh bhi hai maharaj. Kisi ne pucha ki mujhe rasayan de do, to fir unonhe kaha ki - idaḿ śarīraḿ śata-sandhi-jarjaraḿ/pataty avaśyaḿ pariṇāma-peśalaḿ/kim auṣadhaḿ pṛcchasi mūḍha durmate/nirāmayaḿ kṛṣṇa-rasāyaṇaḿ piba. (Yes. No, this is also right Mahārāja. Someone asked to give me chemicals, then he said that—Idaṁ śarīraṁ pariṇāma-peśalaṁ / pataty avaśyaṁ śata-sandhi-jarjaram / kim auṣadhaṁ pṛcchasi mūḍha durmate / nirāmayaṁ kṛṣṇa-rasāyanaṁ piba. "This body's beauty is fleeting, and at last the body must succumb to death after its hundreds of joints have stiffened with old age. So why, bewildered fool, are you asking for medication? Just take the Kṛṣṇa elixir, the one cure that never fails." (Mukunda Mala Stotra verse 37))

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Śrīla Prabhupāda, Shastrijī was saying that when he gives someone medicine, he gives the medicine, and then because he's a doctor, he doesn't care, it may work or not work. But with you, he said he's become too much attached. He does not know why, but he's become very much attached, and now he's too much determined that his medicine must work. He can't feel indifferent when he treats you.

Kavirāja: Mai parso gaya tha maharaj jangal me, wo mila nahi mereko. Wo tal makhana, jisko kulli khara bolte hai na. Aap to jante hai kulli khara ko. Bangal me to bahut hoti hai. Jante hai na? (Mahārāja, the day before yesterday I went to the jungle but I couldn't find it there. That tal makhana, which is known as kuli khara (a herbal plant). You must know the kuli khara plant. It is available in abundance in Bengal. Don't you know that plant?)

Prabhupāda: Hmm. Suna . . . (Yes. I heard . . .)

Kavirāja: Suna hai. (You heard.)

Prabhupāda: Yaad hota hai. (I remember.)

Kavirāja: Ha. Uski mul chahiye humko. Wo hone se keya hoga, ki autometic thoda sa pesab jada ho karke aapko ye bar bar trouble nahi hogi. Ek sath hi pesab ho jayega. Pisab jada ho karke, jaldi se jaldi aapki jo bimari hai wo mitegi. (Yes. I need the root of that plant. If we can get it then what will happen is your urine quantity will automatically be increased. Now you are passing urine multiple times—that trouble will be reduced. In one go you will be able to pass more urine. When the quantity of urine released will be more, then your disease will also get cured faster.)

Prabhupāda: Hmm. Dekhiye. (Hmm. See what you can do.)

Kavirāja: Nahi dekhna keya hai. Aab to aap pakka humko aap log, aap bengwa rahe the maharaj, mere ko. Sahi bolta hu mai. (No no, there is nothing to see. Mahārāja, you people were all joking with me. I am telling you the truth.)

Prabhupāda: Hum to hatash ho gaya hai na. (That's because we have become frustrated.)

Kavirāja: Nahi. Hatash hone ki koi darkar nahi hai. Aap hatash honge to hum log age kaise barenge, batlaiye. (No. There is no need to become frustrated. If you become frustrated, how can we move ahead?)

Prabhupāda: Hmm.

Kavirāja: Jo aap ko thoda sa bhi taklif hua, aap bolie. Mai aap ke liye yehi baitha hu, mere koi kam nahi hai. Sirf kam hai ek - Prabhupad ko dekhna. Aur aap ko jaldi se jaldi swasth labh karana. Dusra mera koi kam nahi Vrindavan me. Mai Bihari Ji ke darshan ko bhi itna mahatma nahi deta hu jitna aapko thik karne ko mahatmo deta hu. (Even if you are feeling a little discomfort then please inform me. I am sitting here just for you, I don't have any other work. I have just one job—to look after Prabhupāda and to make you regain your health as quickly as possible. In Vṛndāvana I don't have any other engagements. I don't even give so much importance to take the darshan of Bihari Ji (Bānke Bihari), as I do give importance to your treatment.)

Bhavānanda: Bhakti-cāru?

Kavirāja: Thoda sa blood pressure dekh lu mai baas. (Let me just check the blood pressure once.)

Bhakti-cāru: He's explaining about the medicine, that if he gets the medicine then it will be all right.

Bhavānanda: Which medicine?

Bhakti-cāru: The one that he went to look for in the forest.

Bhavānanda: Oh.

Bhakti-cāru: He's telling that Prabhupāda's condition is not bad right now . . . (indistinct) . . . take care of him and Prabhupāda shouldn't be left alone.

Kavirāja: Aaj keya khir khane ka ichha hai. Tasmayi. (Do you wish to take sweet rice today? Tasmayi.)

Prabhupāda: Ichha to hai, kha sake . . . (Yes I wish to eat but whether I will be able to eat . . .)

Kavirāja: Thoda khaiye, keya hai. Tasmayi tasmayi narochate. Ektho slok hai sanskrit ka, ki Tasmayi tasmayi narochate. Mane khir ek aisa padartha hai, kisko achha nahi lagta hai. Khayenge keya, aap to lila bigraha kar rahe hai, baat ye hai. (Take a little, it's not a big deal. Tasmayi tasmayi narochate. There is a sloka in Sanskrit—Tasmayi tasmayi narochate. Means sweet rice is such a nice preparation that who will not like to take. But will you eat it, because you are performing your own pastime, that is the issue.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hmm.

(sound of blood pressure pump)

Kavirāja: One forty by seventy-five.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Seventy-five.

Kavirāja: Ekdum correct. (Absolutely correct.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Just right. What was the pulse this morning?

Kavirāja: Keya hua? (What he is asking?)

Bhakti-cāru: Subah pulse kitna tha? (What was the pulse in the morning?)

Kavirāja: Subah bar gaya tha. (Morning it was higher.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hmm.

Kavirāja: Subah ka pulse ki sthiti thi inki 115. (In the morning his pulse rate was 115.)

Bhavānanda: Hmm?

Bhakti-cāru: In the morning his pulse rate was 115.

Kavirāja: Abhi to 90 pulse rate hai. Mane abhi heart bahut baria kam kar raha hai. Ekdum jitna good condition me kam karna chahiye, itna kam kar raha hai. (Now his pulse rate is 90. Which means now the heart is working very nicely. The way the heart should work in a healthy condition, it's working the same way.)

Bhakti-cāru: Now his heart is in perfect order.

Bhavānanda: So what was the cause of that distress?

Bhakti-cāru: Kaise hua, kiyu hua tha? (How did the problem come up then, why did it happen?)

Kavirāja: Ye maharaj ne kiya koi, samajh me nahi ata keya kiya tha. (That Mahārāja has done something, but I couldn't figure out what he has done.)

Bhakti-cāru: He says Prabhupāda has done it himself. (chuckles)

Kavirāja: Minto me thik ho jate hai, minto me kar lete hai. (Within minutes he becomes well, then again within minutes he does something.)

Bhakti-cāru: (chuckles)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Jaya Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Kavirāja: Aap ko itna sardi lagta hai subah to bola ekdum sab kapre hata diye. Subah garmi bhi laga? (Usually you feel so cold in the morning, but you have removed all your clothes. Did you feel hot in the morning?)

Prabhupāda: Hmm? (What?)

Kavirāja: Ekdum sab kapre fek diye aapne subah. (You have removed all your clothes in the morning.)

Prabhupāda: Hmm.

Bhakti-cāru: Hmm.

Kavirāja: Tatti ke liye aab inko aisa karenge do roj se ek tatti hoga, to baria hai. Mal jo hai, aab mal thora rokne se inme takat lane ki abashyakta hai. (For stool we will do something so that he passes stool on every alternate day. This stool, in order to regain strength, passing of stool needs to be restrained.)

Bhakti-cāru: Achha wo jo aaj tatti ka rang hua tha, hara. (Well today the color of his stool was greenish.)

Kavirāja: Hara hua hai? (The stool was greenish?)

Bhakti-cāru: Ha. Mere kheyal, wo jo, wo do dawai hai, makai ko ras dete hai. (Yes. I think that medicine, that corn juice that we gave him.)

Kavirāja: Nahi nahi, hara to matlab liver kam karta hai achha. (No no, greenish means the liver is functioning well.)

Bhakti-cāru: Achha. (Okay.)

Kavirāja: Hara baria hai. humko bas white color nahi chahiye. (Greening is good. We just don't want a white colored stool.)

Bhakti-cāru: The color of his stool was greenish this morning. So that's good. That shows that the liver is working.

Kavirāja: Isme liver ko to achha rakhna sabse . . . aap to samajhta nahi, aap ka hum nahi samajhta, sabse bari baat ye hai. (During this time it's most important for the liver to function well . . . you people don't understand my language, and I don't understand your language, that's the main issue.)

Bhakti-cāru: (laughter) "It's a pity that you can't understand me and I can't understand you."

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: No, we are understanding.

Prabhupāda: Hmm.

Kavirāja: Wo puria mat bhul jaiye. (Don't forget that medicine.)

Bhakti-cāru: Kaun sa? Wo tattoi ka? Tatti ka abhi le lu? (Which one? That one for stool? Should that medicine be given now?)

Kavirāja: Pani se. (With water.)

Bhakti-cāru: Wo sirf pani se. Thora garam kar ke de . . . (Oh with water only. Should we make the water little warm . . .)

Kavirāja: Garam se thanda de dijiye. (No, give it with cold water.)

Bhakti-cāru: Thanda. (Cold.)

Kavirāja: Garam ki darkar nahi hai. (No need for warm water.)

Bhakti-cāru: Achha. (Okay.)

Kavirāja: Inko water jitna bhi do aap, ubal karke thanda kar lijiye wo pani dijiye. (Whatever water you give him, even after boiling, make it cool first and then give.)

Bhakti-cāru: Achha. (Okay.)

Kavirāja: Aaj to inka medicine bhi kam kar diya hum ne . . . (indistinct) . . . Baki thora sa pani dete rahiye. (I have also reduced his medicine today . . . (indistinct) . . . you just keep giving him some water.)

Bhakti-cāru: Arak ke sath du keya wo dawai. (Should that medicine be given with arak? (liquid spirit)

Kavirāja: Ha? Pani ke sath de dijiye khali. (What? Just give it with simple water.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha, thik hai. Pura puria ya adha? Pura? (Okay. The whole tablet or the half of it? Full?)

Kavirāja: Hmm? (What?)

Bhakti-cāru: Puria , pura pura puria de du? (This tablet, full tablet to be given?)

Kavirāja: . . . (indistinct Bengali)

Bhakti-cāru: To twenty, twenty hoga . . . (It will be about twenty, twenty . . .)

Kavirāja: Abhi is time pathological test se inko koi taklif nahi hai. Keya test mane, keya nahi mane. Pulse ekdum thik, heart thik. (Now at this time he has no problem on the pathological ground. What test we should consider to be correct and what not. Pulse is all right, heart is also well.)

Bhakti-cāru: He says from pathological point of view, there is nothing wrong.

Kavirāja: General condition ekdum good. (General condition is totally good.)

Bhakti-cāru: His condition of the heartbeat is perfect.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: So what is wrong?

Bhakti-cāru: Blood pressure is perfect.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: It is a spiritual thing . . .

Bhakti-cāru: To taqlif kiyu hota hai aisa? (Then why is such trouble going on?)

Prabhupāda: Nahi. Us samai hua tha. (Not now. During that time problem was there.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hmm. Us samai hua tha . . . (Hmm. At that time problem was there . . .)

Kavirāja: Baat ye hai . . . (The thing is that . . .)

Bhakti-cāru: At that time it happened, but now it's all right.

Kavirāja: Kabhi kabhi kuch Shani maharaj inke taraf dekhte hai, to ye Shani maharaj ko bhaga dete hai. Kabhi unka dao lagte hai to tab unko taqlif kar dete hai. To yeh thode roj Shani jo inpe rehga jabtak . . . (At times the planet Saturn looks unto him and sometimes he could repel that sight. But when the planet Saturn overpowers him then he experiences trouble. So for those days when Saturn will have an effect on him . . .)

Bhakti-cāru: He said, Saturn is having its effect, like at times when he was looking at Śrīla Prabhupāda then getting some trouble. When his vision was somewhere else, than when the Saturn looks higher from him, then he becomes . . .

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: But what did Prabhupāda just say?

Kavirāja: Jaisa subah position tha . . . (As the situation was in the morning . . .)

Bhakti-cāru: No, when he said that pathological test . . .

Kavirāja: Subeh inka position tha na taqlif, wohi na? Hum das puria dene se jaise heart ke good position ho, wo ek puria pe aa gaya to keya bolega bataiye, keya matha lagayega. (In the morning his situation was problematic, you are asking about that? The improvement that is expected to happen after taking ten tablets, if that happens after taking one tablet then what can we say on that—what logical conclusion can we make here.)

Bhakti-cāru: He said how can you define it? How can you explain it? Like the condition couldn't have improved by ten medicines also, but just one medicine it became perfect.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: What did Prabhupāda just say?

Bhakti-cāru: Prabhupāda just said that I mean, this morning his condition was bad, not now.

Bhavānanda: Prabhupāda was complaining of mental distress this morning also.

Bhakti-cāru: Śrīla Prabhupāda ?

Prabhupāda : Hmm?

Bhakti-cāru: Ota ki byapar hoyechilo, mental distress? (Śrīla Prabhupāda, what was that issue about, mental distress?)

Śrīla Prabhupāda: Huh hu. (Trying to say something.)

Kavirāja: Bolie bolie. (Speak it out, please speak.)

Śrīla Prabhupāda: Ohi baat je koi humko poison kia. (It is regarding the same issue that someone has given me poison.)

Bhakti-cāru: Oh achha. Une sochna hai koi . . . (Oh well. He is thinking that someone . . .)

Bhavānanda: Hmm?

Kavirāja: Yadi, dekhiye baat yeh hai, ki ho sakta hai kisi rakshas ne diye ho. (See the matter is this, maybe some demon has given poison.)

Bhakti-cāru: Prabhupāda is saying someone has given him poison here.

Kavirāja: Swami, kisi rakshas ne die ho yeh ho sakta hai. Impossible nahi hai. Wo Sankaracharya the, unhone kisi ne poison diya. Chai mahina tak wo bahut taqlif paye. Kach jo hota hai na, ye botal ka kach. Ye pishke khana me khila diya. (Swami, some demon may have given you poison, this is possible. It's not at all impossible. That Sankaracharya was there, someone gave him poison. For six months he had to suffer. The glass is there, glass bottle. They grind it and feed him with food.)

Bhakti-cāru: Oh.

Kavirāja: To usko keya natija hua , bara mahine baad me leprosy ho gaya sab sarir ke andar. (So what was the effect of that, after twelve months his full body was filled with leprosy.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha.

Kavirāja: To karma to apna bhogta hi hai. Par jo medicine hum de rakhha hai, yadi koi uska effect hoga, poison ka udhai nahi sakta. Guarranted bolta hai. Wo bhi effected hoga to rahe nahi sakta hai. Kyu ki abhi to hum pakar nahi sakta usko, inko dia hua hai. Abhi ye pakarta hai ki inka kidney kharab ho gaya. Kisi karan se, chahe bimari se ho, chahe grah se ho, ki chahe poison se. (So we have to suffer our karma. But the medicine that I already have given you, if these medicines have any effect at all, then poison can't do any harm. This I am saying with guarantee. Even if it has some effect, it can't stay for long. Because now we can't catch hold of that person who may have given. Now say if his kidneys become dysfunctional. For whatever reason, may be due to disease, may be due to planets, may be due to poison.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hmm.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Prabhupāda was thinking that someone had poisoned him?

Adri-dhāraṇa: Yah.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: That was the mental distress?

Adri-dhāraṇa: Yes.

Kavirāja: Ye bolte hai to isme kuch na kuch sattata hai, isme koi sandeh nahi. (If he is saying this that means there must be some truth behind it, there is no doubt about that.)

Bhakti-cāru: Ha. (Yes.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: What did Kavirāja just say?

Bhakti-cāru: He said that when Śrīla Prabhupāda is saying that, there must be something truth behind it. (People all speaking at once, asking about the ācārya that was poisoned by powdered glass)

Bhavānanda: What he said about Sankarachariya?

Bhakti-cāru: Yah, someone gave him poison. You know the powdered glass . . .

Kavirāja: . . . (overlapping comments) . . . Pan me de diye, dudh me de diyo. (May have been given in betel leaf, can be given with milk as well.)

Bhakti-cāru: Within a few months he got leprosy all over his body.

Bhavānanda: Sankarachariya?

Kavirāja: Ek pan me dawai de deo, . . . (indistinct) . . . jindegi bhar ke liye . . . (Just give it in one betel leaf . . . (indistinct) . . . for the whole life . . .)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Śrīla Prabhupāda, Shastrijī says that there must be some truth to it if you say that. So who is it that has poisoned? (pause)

Kavirāja: Sabse bara poison jo hota hai, wo mercury ka hota hai. (The most dangerous poison that is there, is the poison of mercury.)

Bhakti-cāru: Wo to gaya tha unka, wo jo . . . (That was passed over for him, that . . .)

Kavirāja: Nahi nahi. Yeh jo Swarupa Guha ka aap pareye the na swami ji? Kalkatte me. Swarupa Guha. (No, no. That person Swarupa Guha, haven't you read about her Swamiji? In Calcutta. Her name was Swarupa Guha.)

Prabhupāda: Hmm?

Bhakti-cāru: Unko malum nahi. Akhbar nahi padte hai. (Prabhupāda doesn't know. He doesn't read newspapers.)

Kavirāja: Uska pati ne dia tha. (Her husband gave it.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha. (Okay.)

Kavirāja: Uska koi medicine nehi ata tatkalik. Itni doze de dia jisko hum log "Ras-kapoor" bolte hai. (It doesn't have any medicine for immediate treatment. He gave such a doze, which we call "Ras-kapur" (ayurvedic medicine).)

Bhakti-cāru: Nahi, wo jo Mercury to isme tha, wo makara-dhvaja. (No, that mercury was there in the makara-dhvaja.)

Kavirāja: Nahi nahi wo Mercury nahi. Uska dusra . . .(indistinct) . . . hai. (No no, that's not mercury. Makara-dhvajas some other . . .(indistinct). . . is there.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha. (Okay.)

Woman devotee: What did he say?

Bhakti-cāru: He said that it's quite possible that mercury, it's a kind of a poison . . .

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: That makara-dhvaja.

Bhakti-cāru: No, he's saying not that.

Kavirāja: Ras-kapur.

Bhakti-cāru: Ras-kapur.

Kavirāja: Ami-ras. Wo chota preparation ache. Eta very poison. (Ami-ras. That's a small preparation. It is very poisonous.)

Bhakti-cāru: Okay. Makara-dhvaja jaisa hi hai keya? (Well. Is it similar to makara-dhvaja?)

Bhavānanda: What was he taking, Prabhupāda, before that?

Kavirāja: Makara-dhvaja to amrit hota hai. Inke liye nahi suitable hota hai, yeh baat to sure. Baki wo to sab ke liye poison hota hai. (Makara-dhvaja is like nectar. But it's not suitable for him, that's for sure. But that one, it is poison for everyone.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hu. (Okay.)

Bhavānanda: What medicine was he taking before that?

Bhakti-cāru: Kaun sa? (Which one?)

Devotee: Yogendra-ras.

Bhakti-cāru: Yogendra . . .

Kavirāja: Kuch nahi. (It's of no significance.)

Bhakti-cāru: No, he was referring to a case, big murder case in Calcutta, the husband poisoned the wife.

Bhavānanda: It's Guha.

Bhakti-cāru: Yah.

Bhavānanda: Oh, yes.

Kavirāja: Swarupa Guha. Wo zabardast, abhi uska case . . . (Swarupa Guha. That was a big, now her case . . .)

Bhakti-cāru: Yeh Sankhadhar Banerjee . . . (That Sankhadhar Banerjee . . .)

Bhavānanda: Our lawyer is the . . . (chuckles)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Bhagatjī doesn't think the . . . (indistinct)

Kavirāja: Mane inka sarir aisa hai, ye bajra ke . . . (indistinct) . . . hazar de do kuch nahi hone wala hai. (No, his body is like that, even if a thousand thunderbolt . . . (indistinct) . . . nothing is going to happen.)

Bhakti-cāru: Nahi Bhagawan ne jo raksha karte hai. Aise to Prahlāda maharaj ko bhi to . . . (No, the protection that Lord gives us. Otherwise Prahlada Mahārāja was also . . .)

Kavirāja: Swami Ji? Ek sloke mujhe iyad ata hai, Arakshitam tishthati daivarakshitam surakshitam dasivahatam vinashyati. Jeevatyanaathopi vanepirakshitah krutaprayatnopi grahe vinashyati. (Sughasitas verse 68) (Unprotected persons remain protected if the destiny is in their favor, but if it is against them they get killed in spite of having elaborate protection. An orphan remains alive even in a dense forest, whereas a person dies in his home even after making special efforts for his protection.) Aab to wo siddhant bhi maharaj to . . . Isliya koi sanka karne ki darkar hi nahi. (Mahārāja? One sloka just came to my mind (recites a sloka) Now Swamiji, this is the conclusion . . . therefore there is no need to be worried.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: No poison is strong enough to stop the Hari-nama, Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Kavirāja: Bās. Hari naam ke samne . . . Wo Mira ko jitna poison diya tha. Wo ek bund par jane se admi ka death ho jaye. To sab pi gaya wo, batlaiye. Jo Bhagwan ke prasad lag jata hai na, wo poison bhi amrit ho jata hai, mujhe ye samajhta hai. (That's it. In front of harinama . . . they gave Mira so much poison. Just one drop of it was enough to kill any person. But she drank it all, what should you say about it. Once anything is offered to the Lord and becomes prasada, then even poison becomes nectar, this is what I understand.)

Bhakti-cāru: Hu. (Yes.)

Devotee: Prahlāda Mahārāja.

Bhakti-cāru: Prahlāda Mahārāja also.

Kavirāja: Prahlāda se jada poison diya tha, halahal isko, Mira ko. (More poison were given to Mira than Prahlāda, it was called halahal.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha. (Okay.)

Kavirāja: Itna jabardast banaya wo . . . Jaise ek alopath me poison ata hai, ki uska taste aaj tak koi bata nahi saka. (It was made so strong . . . like in allopathy there is one poison, the taste of which no one could tell till now.)

Bhakti-cāru: Accha. (Okay.)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Would you like some more kīrtana, Śrīla Prabhupāda? Lokanātha can lead. Lokanātha, you lead.

Prabhupāda: . . . (indistinct Hindi)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Lokanātha.

Lokanātha: Not for chanting, Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Prabhupāda: Hmm.

Lokanātha: We just had a big kīrtana, but I could chant more. I have come a long way to see you and chant for you. So if you allow, I will chant.

Prabhupāda: Yes.

Lokanātha: Yes.

Devotee: Jaya Śrīla Prabhupāda!

Lokanātha: Been chanting all day in the ratha. (Been chanting all day on the chariot.) (break)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: (aside) Jagannatha Puri also. All right, I'll tell him.

(Background kīrtana)

Prabhupāda: You have taken your van?

Lokanātha: No.

Prabhupāda: You take your van and three four pm.

Lokanātha: Three o'clock is all right?

Prabhupāda: Four.

Lokanātha: Four o'clock. (pause)

(kirtana continues)

Prabhupāda: How is the climate outside?

Lokanātha: There's not cold so far. Lucky I came today. It's good climate.

Haṁsadūta: At night it's a little chilly, and in the day it's very pleasant and warm.

Prabhupāda: No, other parts of India.

Lokanātha: Oh, north. As we go towards the Himalaya it gets cold, otherwise up to Delhi and Chandigarh same climate as it is here now. As soon as we got into the mountains, it was very cold. We were shivering. As soon as we came to the plains, wherever we went the same climate. Same as Vṛndāvana. It's a good climate.

Prabhupāda: So you come at four . . . (indistinct) . . . (break) (end)
