Prabhupāda: Baithiye, baithiye Bajaj ji. (Please sit, please sit, Bajaj Ji.)
Shri Narayan: Humlog to pichle baar Juhu mein milei thei na, darshan apke kiye thei. (We had met last time in Juhu and had seen you.)
Prabhupāda: Hadi hadi reh gayi hai . . . (indistinct) . . . (Only bones are left . . . (indistinct) . . .)
Shri Narayan: Idhar rakho, achei se. (Keep it here nicely.)
Prabhupāda: Therefore always two attendants, and they are taking care. Otherwise personally I would not . . .

Ramkrishna Bajaj: Ha ji mein hu. Pranam kar raha hu. (Yes I am. I am saluting.)

Ramkrishna Bajaj: Apse baat hui thi us hisab se hum sab log yaha apke ghar mein aa gaye. Yaha aur bhi kareeb, kareeb kal asi-nabhay-sau admi tak aa jayenge, alag alag jagah se. Sabka kam karne walei karykarta. (Yes, I have come. Please accept my obeisances. As per our discussion last time, all of us have come to your home. Another eighty to hundred people will arrive here from different places. All workers.)
Prabhupāda: Apka kya programe hai? . . . (indistinct) . . . (What's your program . . . (indistinct) . . .?)
Shri Narayan: Kal do baje se samelan rakha hai, Gita samelan. To kal bhi chalega, fir parso bhi chalega. To humne bhi kaha hai kal raat ko ek-ded ghante ka sab pura apka film, kuch kirtan yeh sab sunna chahtei hai. To acha rahega. (We have kept a Gītā assembly here from two o'clock tomorrow. It will happen tomorrow as well as day after tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I have told that for one to one and a half hours. Everyone wants to watch your films, hear the kīrtana. That will be nice.)
Prabhupāda: So, Tamāla Kṛṣṇa?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes, Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Prabhupāda: Who has got these films, you can . . .
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes. I'm going to arrange it with Akṣayānanda Mahārāja. The temple has everything here.

Shri Narayan: Yaha mandir mein hi baithenge, wahi baithenge, sab bhajan sunenge, film bhi dekhenge. Naya Vrindavan film bahut achi thi. (All of us will sit down in the temple, listen to some bhajans and watch the films. Particularly, the film on New Vṛndāvana is very nice.)
Prabhupāda: Just see our activities all over the world.
Shri Narayan: Sare, sabhi pranto ke log aa rahe hai kafi. Pondicherry se bhi ek bhai woh Arbindo society se bhi ayenge Navjat ji. (People are coming from all regions. One gentleman, Navjat Ji, is coming from Pondicherry. He is a member of the Aurobindo society.)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Jo mukhya hai unke, president hai. (He is the president of the Aurobindo society.)
Shri Narayan: President hai, Pondicherry ke woh bhi aa rahe hai. (He is the president, from Pondicherry. He is also coming.)
Prabhupāda: Aur Vinoba ji? (Is Vinoba Ji coming?)
Shri Narayan: Vinoba ji to bahar nahi jaate kahi bhi. Lekin aur waise karyakarta log bahut aa rahe hai. Jo Gita ke kaam mein lagei hai. To woh sab dekhana chahtei hai. (No, he does not travel anywhere outside. But many people engaged in the preaching of Gītā are coming. They all want to see.)
Prabhupāda: Khub field hai Gita prachar karne ke liye, khub field hai. (There is a lot of fields to preach the Gītā, lots of fields.)
Shri Narayan: Ha field khub hai. (Yes, lots of fields.)
Prabhupāda: Yeh to apka experience batayga. To humsei actually jo kuch ho saka kiya hai . . . (indistinct) . . . ke kiya jai. (Your experience will tell. whatever was possible for me I did . . . (indistinct) . . . should be done.)
Shri Narayan: Bahut ho sakta hai. (Lots can be done.)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Apne to zabardast kaam kiya hai. (You have done a remarkable job.)
Shri Narayan: Aapne to bahut hi chamatkar hi kiya hai, das gyarah warsho mein apne sab bataya tha na hum log ko to bahut hi ashcharya hua ke itne kam samay mein kitna phailaya hai sare duniya mein. (You have really performed a miracle. You had told us everything, we were astonished how this movement has spread all over the world in just ten, eleven years.)
Prabhupāda: Sare duniya mein chal hi raha hai. Africa mein, abhi South Africa. (Yes, all over the world. Right now in Africa, South Africa.)
Prabhupāda: South Africa. Is it not South Africa?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes, Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Prabhupāda: South Africa mein Indian ko bada hate karte hai. (In South Africa, they hate Indians very much.)
Shri Narayan: Bahut hate karte hai. Waha to jane hi nahi dete hai. (Yes, they hate a lot. It's impossible to even go there.)
Prabhupāda: Gandhi ji to bahut parishram kiya tha, lekin success nahi hua. They are smart, kuch pata hi nahi tha, ab thoda badal dega. (Gandhiji worked very hard, but he could not succeed. They are smart, but were not aware, now they will be changed.)
Shri Narayan: Accha, waha bhi andolan abhi apka shuru hua hai. (Okay, your movement is spreading there also.)
Prabhupāda: Why don't you show them the South African report?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes, Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Shri Narayan: We would very much like to see. South Africa mein kaam kya ho raha hai. South Africa mein rajneeti to chalti nahi hai abhi bhi, koi Hindustan ki baat sunei ko taiyar nahi hai. (What work is going on in South Africa. Till now, politics does not have much influence there and nobody is ready to listen to Indians.)
Prabhupāda: Rajniti nahi woh to Indian ko ek jagah aisa jagah rehne diya tha, jo slaughter house hai aur raat bhar woh slaughter karta hai. Woh chilata hai janwar log aisi jagah mein rakha hai. (It is not about politics, they made the Indians stay near a slaughterhouse and entire night they would slaughter the animals. The animals were screaming there and the Indians were kept there . . .)
Shri Narayan: Is jagah mein rakhne ka, rehne ko diya hai? (In such a place they were made to stay?)
Prabhupāda: Aisa woh bhag jaye. (So that they run away.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: This is a temple that was built there. We have a big farm there as well as two temples. This is one of the temples.
Shri Narayan: Where in South Africa? Natal?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Near Durban.
Shri Narayan: Near Durban. Ācchā. (Okay.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: And they had fifteen thousand people attending at the Janmāṣṭamī celebration. Here you see some go-pūjā.
Prabhupāda: Yeh to apko hum bata sakta hu, humara yeh culture ke liye, field bahut hai. Yadi aap log de sakte hai . . . to and duniya ko upkaar hoga aur humara glory badhega yehi hum aap log se prarthana kartei hai. (I can tell you that there are plenty of fields for spreading our culture. If you all can give . . . then it will be a gift to the world and our glory will increase. This is my prayer.)
Shri Narayan: Prarthana. Apne to bahut kiya hai aur yeh kaam khub chalte rehna chahiye, yeh khub badna chahiye yeh. (Prayer. You have done a lot of work and the work should continue, it should increase a lot.)
Prabhupāda: Humara . . . (indistinct) . . . admi without culture they are suffering . . . (indistinct) . . . this is Gita culture. (Our . . . (indistinct) . . . the people without culture they're suffering . . . (indistinct) . . . this is the Gītā culture.)
Shri Narayan: Gītā culture.
Prabhupāda: Oh, yes. That is my experience.
Prabhupāda: Aap khud dekh sakte hai. Field bahut hai, khub le sakte hai. Africa mein bhi . . . (indistinct) . . . woh log bhi nachta hai aur European woh kitab khub lete hai, isiliye . . . (indistinct) . . . we have sold this Caitanya-caritāmṛta in the Russian countries. (You can see for yourself that there is plenty of opportunity, lots can take. In Africa . . . (indistinct) . . . they are also dancing and the Europeans, they buy a lot of books, which is why . . . (indistinct) . . . we have sold this Caitanya-caritāmṛta even in Russian countries.)
Shri Narayan: Russian countries.

Shri Narayan: Russian, apke koi comunism ka iska sab koi bhed nahi hai. Yeh badi baat hai na, communist country mein hona hi badi baat hai. (Russian, you make no distinction between communists and others. To have this in a communist country is a big thing.)
Prabhupāda: Ha, communist country to mein . . . (indistinct) . . . (Yes, in communist country . . . (indistinct) . . .) This is really humanitarian.
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Jo sab log aye hai, unko sabko aap jo abhi bata rahe hai woh sab unko kahenge, aur sansatha ke sab kaam ki jankari dusre bhai log denge. (All those people who have come, we will tell them all this that you have told us and all the activities being done by your organization will be told by another person.)
Prabhupāda: Hum to ja nahi sakte. (I cannot go.)
Shri Narayan: Nahi nahi apko to. (No no, you shouldn't.)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Aap subah shayad mandir me jaate hai, tab sab log apke darshan shayad kar sakei. (When you go to the temple in the morning, all the guests can have your darśana.)
Shri Narayan: Sade aath baje na? (You go at eight thirty, I suppose?)
Prabhupāda: When I go for parikramā?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Eight-thirty in the morning, generally. Then all of the participants can have darśana of Śrīla Prabhupāda, and we also have the darśana of the Deities at that time.
Shri Narayan: Deity also. Woh theek hoga, jo aap to kal padhar rahe hai suna hai humne, Mayapur. (That will be alright, we've heard that you're proceeding to Māyāpura tomorrow.)
Prabhupāda: Abhi vichar hai. (I am still thinking about it.)
Shri Narayan: Vichar hai. Woh thoda bhi labh hai agar . . . humko bataya ki vaidya ji ka, to zarur acha hoga, lekin . . . (indisctinct) . . . bhi apko thakan nahi hona chahiye. (Thinking. If there is little benefit . . . we've been told the doctor's, so it must be good, but . . . (indistinct) . . . you must not get fatigued.)
Prabhupāda: Yeh log bolta hai, nahi jane ke liye. Ab bhagwan ki icha. (They say I shouldn't go. Now as God desires.)
Shri Narayan: Ha woh to bhagwan ki icha hi se hoga, jo kuch hoga. (Yes, whatever will happen will be by God's desire.)
Prabhupāda: But itna apko hint de raha hu jo Gita culture hai, field bahut hai aur yadi organise kiya jai, so we can influence whole world. (But this I am giving you this hint, for the Gītā culture there is plenty of scope if organized properly, so we can influence the whole world.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Śrīla Prabhupāda? We got report that the recent printing of the Bhagavad-gītā will be sold out by June. One million five hundred thousand copies will have been sold in about ten months' time. Fifteen lakhs were sold in ten months just in the United States.
Shri Narayan: Woh to apne bataya tha ath das lakh rupya roj ka bikri hai , kitabo ki na. Sab sahitya ki, woh apne humko bataya tha Bombay mein. (You had said that the daily sale of books is worth eight to ten lakh rupees. For all the literature you had told us in Bombay.)
Prabhupāda: Caitanya-caritāmṛta ka apka, humara ek set ka daam hai 800 rupiya. (One set of Caitanya-caritāmṛta costs eight hundred rupees.)
Shri Narayan: Ath sau, yehi hai kya? (Eight hundred, is this the one?)
Bhakti-caru: Yeh Seventeen volumes mein pura Caitanya-caritāmṛta ka . . . (indistinct) . . . (In seventeen volumes the complete Caitanya-caritāmṛta . . . (indistinct) . . .)
Prabhupāda: Hum log. How many? Fifty . . . (We all. How many? Fifty . . .)

Prabhupāda: Three thousand or five thousand? Agar three thousand raupaih to kitna rupiya ka bika? (Three thousand or five thousand? If it was three thousand rupees, then for how many rupees were they sold?)
Bhakti-caru: Twenty-four lakhs.
Prabhupāda: Three thousand eight hundred.
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Dhai crore rupiya? haa, chaubees lakh hua. (Two and a half crores? Yes, twenty four lakhs.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Three thousand at fifty rupees each.
Bhakti-caru: Eight hundred rupees a set times three thousand.

Shri Narayan: Apne swami ji, Bombay mein apne bataya tha na anuvad aap kar rahe thei, woh pura hua anuvaad? kis cheez ka mujhe abhi smaran nahi raha, apne kaha tha mein anuvaad kar raha hu, aur akhri shayad adhyay hai. Srimad Bhagavat ka nahi tha, Bhagavat ka to ho chuka na? (In Bombay, you said that you were translating something and were probably on the last chapter. I cannot recall. Not Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Bhāgavatam is over?)
Bhakti-caru: Nahi woh Daśama Skanda ho raha hai. (No, the tenth canto is being translated.)
Shri Narayan: Accha dasam skand ho raha hai, haa bhagwat ka hi apne kaha tha. Pura hua? (Oh, the tenth canto is being translated. Yes you had said Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Is it finished?)
Bhakti-caru: Nahi abhi pura nahi hua. Unka tabiyat theek nahi hai, dheere dheere karte rehte hai. (No, it's not completed yet. His health is not good so he is translating slowly.)
Shri Narayan: Aapne bataya tha raat ko bhi aap likhte hai. (You were saying that you translated at night.)
Prabhupāda: Raat mein hi to likhte hai, baki, abhi woh brain theek work nahi karta. ab brain ko lagana padta . . .(indistinct) . . . (Yes, I translate at night. My brain is not working properly, and you have to think while translating . . . (indistinct) . . .)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Rishikesh mein bhi apko vishesh faiyda nahi hua. Khas fayda nahi hua? (In Rishikesh also you did not recover much. Not much benefit?)
Prabhupāda: Nahi, woh rishikesh mein aur kharab hua. Humne socha, ke marne ke liye chalo Vrindavan mein. (No, in Rishikesh it worsened. I thought it's better to go to Vṛndāvana, if i have to leave my material body.)
Shri Narayan: Fir Vrindavan aap kuch samay rahe, fir london bhi gaye, waha bhi kuch vishesh labh nahi hua. (So you went to Vṛndāvana and from there you also went to London but you did not make any significant recovery.)
Prabhupāda: Humara koshti ka vichar se, aur humara hai nahi. Kitna hogaya . . . (indistinct) . . . Nahi to, actually my duration of life according to horroscope. (From a horoscopic point of view, I don't have any. How much . . . (indistinct) . . . otherwise, actually my duration of life according to horoscope.)
Shri Narayan: Abhi to sau varsha to pure karna chahiye na. (Now you should complete a hundred years.)
Prabhupāda: Karna to hai, baaki iss condition. (I have to do, but in this feeble condition.)
Shri Narayan: Humein pracheen parampara apne desh ki to sau varsha ka abhi matlab ek sau pachees varsh. (In our ancient tradition, hundred years means one hundred twenty-five years.)
Prabhupāda: To aap log sab kijye, aap log young men hai. Ab abhi do roz ka programme hai. (All of you can do, you are young men. So the assembly will be held for two days.)
Shri Narayan: Ji ha kal aur parso, paso shyaam ko pura hoga. (Yes, for two days, day after evening it will finish.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Here is Akṣayānanda Mahārāja, Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Prabhupāda: Ah, Akṣayānanda Mahārāja . . .
Akṣayānanda: Yes, Prabhupāda.

Shri Narayan: Bhajan-kirtan aur woh naya vrindavan ka film bhi dekhana chahte hai, aur fir ek ghanta ka bhajan-kirtan. Kal. Kal nau se sade das tak chale, bhojan ke baad. Fir nau baje se aap kahengo to jaldi bhi bhojan kar sakte hai. Sade aath se bhi. sade aath se das ho sakta hai aisa kareiye. Sab log aye hai na Bharat varsa se aye hai. (Tomorrow bhajan-kirtan and we want to watch the film on New Vṛndāvana and then one hour of bhajan-kirtan. Tommorow. Tommorow from nine to ten thirty after the meal. After nine we can have an early dinner, if you say so. Can be from eight-thirty to ten, do this. Many people have come from all over India.)
Akṣayānanda: Humein bahut khushi hai aap log aye hai. (We are very happy that you all have come.)
Prabhupāda: Jab boliye. (Whenever you say.)

Shri Narayan: Accha, aapko strain nahi aana chahiye, aapke darshan ho gaye, bahut khushi hui humko, aate hi malum hua ki aap kal padhar rahe hai, to hum log soch rahe thei kal subah . . . lekin abhi aap acha hua, subah fir, subah to waha darshan karenge mandir mein. (You should not get stressed. We are very happy to have your darśana. As soon as we arrived, we heard that you are leaving. We were thinking, tomorrow morning . . . but now it's good, in the morning we will have darśana in the temple.)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Woh innaugration ke samay apne jo abhi kaha hai, woh srimanji . . . (During the inauguration, whatever you've said, that sir . . .)
Shri Narayan: Haa, hum woh sabko batayenge, aapne jo kaha hai. (Yes, We will tell everyone what you've said.)
Prabhupāda: Mataji sab aye hai? Apka mataji? (All the women have come? Your mother?)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: Ha ma theek hai, meri patni abhi waha ja ke ayi, tabiyat theek hai mata ki. (Yes my mother is fine. My wife went to see her recently.)

Prabhupāda: Kaun hai? (Who is it?)
Shri Narayan: Yeh to Ram Krishna ji ki patni hai Vimla Bai, abhi mil ke ayi hai mataji se, tabiyat theek hai unki. Vardan hai. (Here is Ramakrishna Ji's wife, Vimla Bai. She has recently met the mother, and her health is fine. It's a blessing.)
Prabhupāda: Ram Krishna ji ki mataji humari badi behen hai, woh humse . . . (Ramakrishna Ji's mother is like my elder sister. To me . . .)
Shri Narayan: Woh cheyasi saal ki hai, chayasi ho jayengi january mein. (She will become eighty-six years old in January.)
Prabhupāda: Accha, Bhagwan ji , . . . (indistinct) . . . aap to bahut bade scientist hai, thoda maaf kijyega jo koi truti. (Alright, God . . . (indistinct) . . . you are a great scientist, please forgive me for any mistake.)
Shri Narayan: Nahi nahi aapne bahut badi sewa sansar ki ki hai aur abhi bahut varsho tak karna hai swami ji. Kyuki itna bada karya hua hai das gyarah varsha mein. Woh to ek bilkul apurva kaha jayega. (You have done a great service to the world and it must continue for many more years. It is really a miracle that such a big thing has happened in ten years. It will be called unprecedented.)
Prabhupāda: Bharat ka bahar mein ek bhi mandir nahi tha, abhi ek sau ath hai. Sab Radha Krishna ka mandir. Aur apka Bombay ka jo mayor hai kal . . . (indistinct) . . . woh sab ghoom ke aya hai kehta hai, bolta hai aisa mandir bharat mein nahi hai, yeh to kitna acha dedication hai, aur kitna kharch kartei hai. (Previously, there was not a single temple outside India but now there are one hundred and eight temples of Radha-Kṛṣṇa. The mayor of Bombay yesterday . . . (indistinct) . . . he visited everywhere and was telling that such a temple is not there in Bharat, how good is the dedication of devotees and the amount of expenditure is being done.)
Shri Narayan: Woh bombay ka jo kuch takleef thi kathinayi dur hogayi na? Nahi to aur woh ramkrishna ji ne bhi kaha tha, jo kuch sadak wadak ki baat thi, to woh to sab mere khayal se theek ho gaya abhi. (In Bombay the difficulty which was there, that is resolved now? Otherwise Ramakrishna Ji had also mentioned something regarding a road? I think it's resolved now.)
Prabhupāda: I do not know.
Shri Narayan: Woh apse baat hui thi na pichle baar to uske baad Ram Krishna ji ne kaha ki koshish ki . What is the latest about the Bombay temple? Woh road kuch banana tha. (We had spoken last time after that Ram Krishna ji mentioned that he also tried. What is the latest about the Bombay temple? Some road was made.)
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: We haven't heard anything in the last two or three months, Śrīla Prabhupāda. This telegram came from the former mayor—Ganatra? Rajiv Ganatra? He wrote, "Pray God to give you long life to spread Indian culture in every nook and corner of the universe."
Shri Narayan: Bombay Mayor ka aya hai. Bahut acha. (From the Mayor of Bombay. Very Good.)
Ramkrishna Bajaj: That is the feeling of all, everybody.
Shri Narayan: Abhi sabhi theek hoga swami ji aap yeh chinta na rakhiye. Bhagawan sab theek hi karega. (Please do not worry Swamījī. The Lord will ensure that everything becomes perfect.)

Ramakrishna Bajaj: Yeh meri dusri behen hai aur yeh choti behen hai, yeh jeejaji hai, Raj Narayan ji hai. Sabhi log . . . So, she is my second sister and she is the younger, he is her husband Raj Narayanji. Everyone . . .)
Shri Narayan: Yeh Delhi mein rehte hai maharaj. (They stay in Delhi, Mahārāja.)
Prabhupāda: Apka kai behen hai? (How many sisters do you have?)
Ramakrishna Bajaj: Teen behen hai. (I have three sisters.)
Shri Narayan: Sabse badi hai Kamla Bai woh Bombay mein rehti hai zyada aur hum log Vardahi mein jyada rehte hai. Woh to yeh hai, Vardahi mein hum log jyada rehte hai aur yeh choti hai, behen . . . (The eldest one is Kamala Bai who mostly lives in Bombay and we mostly live in Wardha. This is the one and this is the younger sister . . .)
Prabhupāda: (indistinct Hindi) . . . desh ka kama bahut kiya . . . (I did a lot of work for this country . . .) Para-upakāra. Manushya jivan hai (We have human life) —this is the mission of Caitanya Mahāprabhu, para-upakāra. Especially since you have taken birth in India.
