19 February, 1977

Dear Pusta Krsna,

Please accept my obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I’m personal secretary for the present month, and brought your proposal before Srila Prabhupada. His letter is straight dictation from His Divine Grace, nothing added by me. As for the GBC meeting to decide whether Srila Prabhupada should sign your reference, after a letter like he wrote, I doubt they’ll go along with it. I just showed Srila Prabhupada’s letter to Pradyumna and he said, “What will he learn there?” I hope you won't be disappointed by Srila Prabhupada’s strong disapproval but take it as his mercy, and use whatever you presently have to engage in devotional service. The neglect of becoming Krsna Conscious is suicidal. The importance of the university, aside from your attachment to it, has no lasting value (to repeat the words of the acarya).

Srila Prabhupada was pleased to hear you were investing in deities and using Gour Nitai deities to sell and preach to people. I have heard you are still very favorable to Krsna Consciousness, and hope you will increase in that, and accept humbly these latest instructions from His Divine Grace.

Your Godbrother,

Satsvarupa das Goswami
