June 12th, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

My dear Chyavana Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to reply your letter dated June 2nd, 1977. Your reasoning with the student is quite appropriate. It is in fact the soul who is conscious both at the time of dreaming as well as the time of awakening and even at the time of deep unconsciousness. So your conclusion and argument was quite convincing and correct to the standard.

You will be glad to know that Srila Prabhupada’s health is slightly improved and He is once again translating as well as eating a little prasad. Kindly continue praying for His recovery.

Hoping this meets you well.

Your servant,
Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada

His Holiness Chyavana Swami
