Vrndavana,

August 2, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

Bangkok

Dear Hrisikeshananda Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. Srila Prabhupada has received your letter dated 25th July, 1977 and has requested me to reply. As you may know His Divine Grace has been very ill since Gaura Purnima. Practically He is invalid and just to go the latrine He requires the assistance of two persons. On His instruction we have contacted two astrologers, and they have recommended the wearing of blue sapphire of seven carats weight. It seems to be the arrangement of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, that you are engaged in the jewelry business. If it is possible for you to procure such a gem and send it to His Divine Grace here in Vrndavana, this could be very beneficial for His health. He is suffering from an acute case of dropsy, and now even His translation work has become affected. Srila Prabhupada is pleased to know that you are chanting 16 rounds daily of Hare Krishna mahamantra. Please continue this chanting regularly and when your business is a little successful, try to use the money for spreading the Krishna consciousness movement.

I hope this meets you in good health.

Your servant,
Tamal Krishna Gosvami
Secretary to His Divine Grace
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
