London,

September 5, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

Maui, Hawaii

My dear Siddhasvarupananda Maharaja,

Please accept my most humble obeisances. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to thank you for your very kind telegram which you have sent to Him. Srila Prabhupada heard your kind prayer with closed eyes, drinking in all the feelings which you expressed. After hearing your offering, His Divine Grace said, “I always think of you. I love you because there may be some misunderstanding, but you are sincere. I hope to meet you and talk more. Thank you very much.”

You will be glad to know that Srila Prabhupada is getting very nice rest here at the Bhaktivedanta Manor. There were so many things to worry about in India, but here there is no difficulty for Prabhupada to get unbroken peaceful recuperative rest, and He is taking full advantage of the very serene atmosphere. Everyday from 8.30 until 9 in the morning Srila Prabhupada comes before the Deities of Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda and all of the devotees perform kirtan for Him. Srila Prabhupada will be coming most likely to Hawaii after a few months and then He will be very glad to see you at that time.

Hoping this meets you in the best of health and Krishna consciousness.

Your servant,

Tamal Krishna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
