680923 - Letter to Yamuna, Janaki and Malati from Govinda dasi

Seattle,

23 September, 1968

From Govinda Dasi

Dear Yamuna devi, Janaki devi, and Malati devi,

Please accept my most humble obeisances. I thank you very much for your kind letters of 15 and 16 Sept. Janaki, your letter is so kind, and shows so much loving concern for the well being of His Divine Grace. And I know you will give Him the utmost in perfect care while He is in London, as you are so perfectly devoted. All of you are the most excellent ideals with so much devotion to Swamiji.

As you probably know by now, Goursundar has gone to Hawaii to open up a branch of ISKCON there, on Swamiji’s request, and so we are waiting to hear how he is faring and what the situation there is. We are hoping this will provide a very warm tropical place for His winter residence, as He so desires. I will let you know of further developments when we learn more, as we have not yet had time for receiving word from Goursundar there. Regarding the certificates: From your letter I understand that you are presently working on the certificate printing, (hand-printing), and that I should send you the drawings as soon as possible, and you will paste it up and have it printed, and send the printed copies to the USA. Is this idea correct? (I will assume it is unless I hear further from you shortly.)

I hope you are finding success in locating your temple in a nice place. Swamiji is anxious to hear every bit of news from you about your preaching work there.

Regarding the blankets mentioned in Yamuna’s letter, I do not know of any in S.F.; you probably know better than I who to write in this connection, of how to locate them and send them. At any rate, send a list of things He will need there, and I will somehow or other try to get them together for Him to take with Him there. I hope you are well, and Janaki is feeling somewhat better from the recurring illness she described in Montreal. Please write when you have time,

Your servant always,

Govinda dasi
