740708 - Letter to Dear Bali Mardan and Hansadutta from Brahmananda

Vrndavana,

July 8, 1974

From: Brahmananda

New York and Bhaktivedanta Manor

Dear Bali Mardan and Hansadutta Prabhu:

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. Srila Prabhupada has requested me to write to both of you regarding increasing the program of library standing orders. One report from Satsvarupa Maharaj has been received wherein he reports that he has now standing orders for Srimad Bhagavatam and Caitanya-caritamrta in 20 different college and city libraries. Prabhupada wants you as the BBT Trustees to increase this program upwards to 50,000 such standing orders in all types of libraries. You have to devise some program amongst yourselves and you can inform Srila Prabhupada directly of your progress in this matter. Needless to say, He would be very pleased if so many of His books were to be taken automatically on such orders, and we know that by having His books distributed widely encourages Him in the writing.

I hope this meets you both in good health

Your servant,
Brahmananda Swami,
Personal Secretary
