760414 - Letter to Kirtanananda from Pusta Krsna

Bombay,

April 14, 1976

From: Pusta Krishna

All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga!!

Dear Kirtanananda Swami,

Please accept my humble obeisances. Prabhupada has revealed a bit more about things. He said that as time goes on he is less and less concerned about seeing visitors. He mentioned that Aurobindo saw visitors only once a year on his birthday. Although Prabhupada deemed this not possible now, I asked him where he would like to go for some time to translate. He said New Vrindavan, and he said that he would go there after the Rathayatra in N.Y. So it is up to Madhudvisa Maharaj how he can arrange things there. I have written him telling him of these things, and told him that if possible try to have the Ratha-yatra before April 10th ., then Prabhupada could stay at New Vrindavan until perhaps August 1. Prabhupada then will have to go to Europe and Tehran, arriving back in India for the opening of the Hyderabad temple on Janmastami. (if it is completed?). However, that is a question mark, but Prabhupada had some reservations about New Vrindavan. First he was concerned about the dangerous people with their guns that come around. I assured him that it was only isolated incidences, is it? Also, is the palace finished??? And also, is the quarantine lifted yet. Please write me in Fiji immediately and let me know these things. We go to Australia for short stay then Fiji by the 27th April for laying the foundation stone then Hawaii on or about May 1.

I hope that this meets you in good health.

Your servant,

Pusta Krishna Swami,

Personal secretary
