760930 - Letter to Surendra Kumar from Aksayananda

Vrndavana,

September 30, 1976

From: Aksayananda

Aligarh

Dear Mr. Surendra Kumar,

Please accept my greetings and prayers for your well-being. I am writing regarding the arrangements for the program of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. Please kindly intimate the following at your earliest to enable smooth running of the function:

1. Will 2 cars arrive in Vrndavana on morning of Oct. 9th, if so, what time should we leave Vrndavana and what time will we arrive in Aligarh? Otherwise when will cars arrive if not 9th morning?

2. Please arrange accommodation and meals (as you know, pure vegetarian) for twenty-five (25) devotees.

3. Palika dasi, Prabhupada’s cook has requested small kitchen with double gas burner, sil and batta (grinding stone), and tuar dahls, good atta, pure cow’s ghee and milk. Please kindly see that all things are of the finest quality. His Divine Grace as you know is now tolerating many problems due to old age, and we must take the greatest care of Him – buffalo products are also very dangerous for Him. Because you appreciate the greatness of His personality, I’m sure you will kindly do the needful.

I hope this meets you in good health. Please reply immediately.

Thanking you,

I am,

Yours in the service of the Lord,

Aksayananda Swami
Personal Secretary for His Divine Grace
