770402 - Letter to Dr. Ghosh from Tamal Krsna

2 April, 1977

Dr. Ghosh
Villepata Village,
Kodaikanal,
Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Dear Dr. Ghosh,

Please accept my respects.

In continuation of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada’s letter dated 30 March, 1977, we met with Dr. Sharma the cardiologist specialist from Bombay Hospital. Dr. Sharma is familiar with Srila Prabhupada’s condition. He has given the advice that if Srila Prabhupada were to go to Kodaikanal he should take a respirator, oxygen tanks, and go by helicopter. Actually his final advice was that such a trip would be risky due to Prabhpada’s weak heart condition. Neither Srila Prabhupada is willing to use these un-natural breathing aids. Under the circumstances Srila Prabhupada has decided for the time being to postpone going to Kodaikanal until his blood pressure reduces significantly and he gets stronger.

Hoping this meets you and your family all well.

Yours ___,

Tamal Krishna Goswami
