Dear Brahmananda Maharaj:

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. I beg to thank you for your letter dated 28th March, 1977.

Your letter is certainly very encouraging and I have read it to Srila Prabhupada who was very glad and pleased to hear the contents. Kindly continue to improve more and more. You are one of the oldest devotees so you should be exemplary. You voluntarily out of your past pious activities joined Prabhupada. And there was no canvassing but you voluntarily joined. Being one of the oldest devotees your behavior should be impeccable.

Yes, Srila Prabhupada says that ISKCON Food Relief can support your African prasadam distribution program.

His Divine Grace asks “Can you not introduce Rathayatra in Africa?” Black Jagannath will attract. I think if you can introduce such Black Jagannath Rathayatra thousands will join and take prasadam and chant ‘Hare Krishna’. Prabhupada also said that you should try to organize a farm there.

Srila Prabhupada is maintaining His health – not getting worse but not getting better very quickly. But His Divine Grace says that by not taking any more of these medicines He will gradually surely get better. He will not go to Kodaikanal because the altitude is too taxing on the heart, but instead will stay and remain here in Bombay where His quarters are like Vaikuntha. There is one astrological forecast just received that Srila Prabhupada will overcome a serious disease by May, and live for ten more years achieving unlimited fame and glory. Jai, Srila Prabhupada!

Nava Yogindra Maharaj is remaining here as Srila Prabhupada’s cook. He has wanted to personally serve Srila Prabhupada for a long time and Prabhupada wishes to give him the chance to do so.

Prabhupada was quite overjoyed to see the results of the recent election and said that it was all due to Krishna, that Krishna did not allow anyone to go on committing such traverses on the people and land of Bharata Varsa.

Please keep Srila Prabhupada informed of all of your activities as your preaching is very much encouraging to Him. Hoping this meets you well.
