Atten: The Manager

Dear Sir,

As per my letter dated 8th April, 1977, to your bank, you transferred the sum of Rs. 1,65,000/- (Rupees One Lac, Sixty-five Thousand only) to the favor of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Gurukula Construction Account) No. 4. However by my letter of the 16th April, 1977, Rs. 1,26,252/95 (Rupees One Lac, Twenty-six Thousand and Ninety-five paisa only) was ordered to be transferred to the Gurukula Construction Account being the total of Fixed Deposit A/c Nos. 523/76, 524/76 and 525/76. It is understood that now, having seen the difference of Rs. 40,000/- you have debited the normal ISKCON temple operating accounts to make up the balance. It is further understood that you wish me to transfer Rs. 40,000/- to the Gurukula Construction Account, to make up the difference.

Therefore, please transfer Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand only) from my A/c No. 1 in the name of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Gurukula Construction Account) No. 4 and advise.

I have transferred Rs. 4 Lacs from my account in the Central Bank of India, Gwalior Tank Branch, to my A/c No. 1 in the name of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami held with your bank. This was informed to you by the Central Bank of India in a carbon copy of a letter to your Main Office in Bombay dated 14th April, 1977. On inquiring from your Main Office in Bombay, they informed us they had transferred the amount of Rs. 4 Lacs to your branch on the 16th of April, 1977, which you must have received by now. I must eventually return this money to Bombay. In this regard I have two Fixed Deposit Accounts which are both coming due in September: Receipt No. 1/77, A/c No. 1/76 in the name of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, ISKCON for Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lacs Fifty Thousand only) due on the 25th of September, 1977; and the Receipt No. PIK676208, BS no. 8/76, A/c No. 1/76 in the name of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami for Rs. 1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lac Sixty Thousand only) due on the 30th of September, 1977. When these Fixed Deposits are mature, I wish them to be transferred back to Bombay. Therefore please advise me exactly what is to be done in this regard.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
