Dear Reverend Moorhouse,

I have been instructed by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to thank you for your letter dated April 13th, 1977.

As you may know Srila Prabhupada has fallen seriously ill, and therefore there has been a delay in replying your letter. His Divine Grace very much appreciated your understanding and realization of the value of this Krsna consciousness movement. Krsna consciousness is not sectarian and may be described as sanatana-dharma or eternal religious principles. Krsna consciousness does not have a beginning in time nor will it ever end. It is the eternal activity of the pure spirit soul in his service to God. Therefore one may designate oneself as a Christian, a Jew, a Hindu, or any other denominational faith, but ultimately the eternal designation is as servant of God. When we say devotee, we are indicating a servant of God. Therefore the science of Krsna consciousness when followed by anyone, will automatically make him a better Christian, a better Hindu, a better Jew. Everyone should therefore appreciate this movement of Krsna consciousness and try to see that it is given all facilities. Srila Prabhupada was very thankful to you for the letters which you are writing on our behalf. He prays that Krsna may bless you will all deep understanding and advancement in Krsna consciousness.

I may personally request you that as Srila Prabhupada is very ill now, you kindly pray to Krsna for his quick recovery.

Yours faithfully,

Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to His Divine Grace
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
