My dear Dr. Chatterjee,

I have been instructed by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to reply your letter dated June 11th, 1977.

His Divine Grace requests you, that as you are obviously a sincere devotee of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, that you kindly begin living in any one of our temples immediately. This does not require that you become a sannyasi. But by regular temple life and association with devotees your service will naturally become perfect. As he wrote to you in the previous letter, the Bhaktivedanta Institute is formed of Ph.D’s, all expert in different subjects. By living in our temples here, you can work with this Bhaktivedanta Institute and pursue the directions which you have written about. I am glad to inform you that His Divine Grace’s health is slightly improving now.

Yours sincerely,

Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to His Divine Grace
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
