770623 - Letter to Guru Krpa from Tamal Krsna

Vrndavana,

June 23, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

Tokyo

My dear Guru Krpa Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. Srila Prabhupada has received your letter dated 16th June, 1977, and asked me to reply you. Srila Prabhupada’s health is a lot better than when you were here. He is eating regularly now although not very much. And every night He is translating again. During the morning from 9:30 to 10 He goes before Krishna and Balarama for darshan and the devotees sing bhajans. So His health has improved although not that much. Srila Prabhupada appreciated your feeling that others should share in the construction project here. I mentioned to Him how difficult it was for all of your men to keep Krishna Conscious under such difficult conditions. Srila Prabhupada stated as follows: “Whatever he can easily do, let him do. But tell him there is no pressure.” So this means that it is up to you exactly what you want to do there.

Prabhupada was very pleased to hear about the Ratha-yatra festival in Hawaii and I am sure that if you can send photographs, they will very much enliven Him. What is this annex of the new temple which you speak about in your letter? Why not send some photographs, and also of the gardens. I hope this meets you in the best of health.

Your servant,

Tamal Krishna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
His Holiness Guru Krpa Swami
