770628 - Letter to Pancaratna from Tamal Krsna

June 28th, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

My dear Pancaratna Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. I beg to thank you for your letter dated 20th June, 1977 along with the enclosed deposit slip sent under registered post.

It is very reassuring to see how diligently you are repaying this loan. By establishing such good credit, Srila Prabhupada will be willing to give future loans. I am very glad to know that both vans are out preaching and there is no doubt that they will daily increase the book distribution. In regard to future payments please make the next four payments of the loan to the American Express Bank, Calcutta, A/c No. SB5416 in the name of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. This is where you deposited the first payment. After these next four payments you can again deposit money in the Camac St. account. So the next Rs. 20,000 should be deposited into the American Express account.

In your next visit to Calcutta could you please go to American Express and see that they send a statement for Srila Prabhupada’s account here to Vrndavana. We want to know the exact balance in the account .Also can you please tell me if Mayapur has repaid the Rs. 1,74,000 loaned by Srila Prabhupada for the completion of the long building this past February?

I have already replied to Mr. N.K. Saha with a copy to yourself, that he should settle the matter with the authorities in Mayapur. I will try my best to see that Bhakti Caru Maharaja does more translation work. Now that Srila Prabhupada’s condition is not as critical as it was a few weeks ago he should be able to more work in translating.

I hope this meets you in the best of health and Krsna consciousness.

Your servant,

Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
Sriman Pancaratna das Brahmacari
