770705 - Letter to Srimati Nirmala Singhal from Tamal Krsna

Vrndavana,

July 5, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

Bombay

Dear Mrs. Singhal,

Please accept my greetings. Hare Krishna. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to thank you for your letter dated 25th June, 1977. Srila Prabhupada was very pleased to receive your letter and especially appreciated when you compared our Bombay temple to Krishna’s palace in Dvaraka. His Divine Grace sends you this instruction: “Try to bring all the people of Vileparle Scheme to come to the Temple daily. And read the Hindi Srimad-Bhagavatam to the women. Simply read it and they will understand the whole philosophy. It is so nice.” Srila Prabhupada says to tell you that his health is “progressing a little.” You will be glad to know that actually his translation work has not suffered despite this serious illness. Now he is translating the 9th chapter of the Tenth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam. Prabhupada expects to come to Bombay for the grand opening so you can see him at that time.

Please offer my respects to your good husband, Dr. Singhal. Hoping this finds you both well. Yours faithfully in Krishna’s service,

Tamal Krishna Gosvami

Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
