770802 - Letter to Mrs. P. C. Perlmutter from Tamal Krsna

Vrndavana,

August 2, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

Bloomfield, Conn.

Dear Mrs. Perlmutter,

Hare Krishna. I have received both your letters to Srila Prabhupada and to myself, dated 6th July, 1977.

I have read your Letter to: Srila Prabhupada, which he heard with great interest. When Srila Prabhupada heard you say, “I hope I won’t become known as that pesty Mrs. Perlmutter” His Divine Grace laughed and said, “No, you are a good mother and you have given birth to a good child. You are doing a great service to Krishna. Your child is blessed, you are blessed, and your whole family is blessed. A Vaisnava child can purify 14 generations in the past and 14 generations in the future, of his family members.” Thank you very much for the enclosed copy of the Parents Newsletter, which Srila Prabhupada liked very much. Thank you also for the enclosed article from the N.Y. Times regarding the Moscow Book Fair, and your thoughtful suggestion that ISKCON should be represented. Our Bombay office of Bhaktivedanta Book Trust will be displaying Srila Prabhupada’s books at the Moscow Book Fair and their booth has already been confirmed.

I hope this finds you and your family in good health.

Yours sincerely,

Tamal Krishna Gosvami
Secretary to His Divine Grace
